Carlos Bravo Ollague was born in Santa Rosa, El Oro province, Ecuador on January 5, 1983. When he was 14 years old, he began studying drums in his hometown. Later he traveled to Quito and started college at the Institute of Contemporary Music (IMC) Berklee International Network Member of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where he studied Music Production and Sound, and Contemporary Music, getting his degree as B.A. in Music Production and Sound. He studied drums with leading national and international teachers: Eddie Mejia, Byron Kent, Sergio Reggianni, Pascoal Meirelles, Gino Castillo, Adam Nussbam, John Hazila, Bob Tamagni. He has participated in several seminars with: Horacio "the black" Hernandez, Zoro, Julio Figueroa, Antonio Hart, Gary Cawnpell, I?aki Salvador, John Abercrombie, John Mc Clure, Paulo Moura, among others. He has toured nationally and internationally with bands and artists such as Daniel Betancourt, Pamela Cortes, VAM jazz quartet, Jacare, Q-band, Tercer Mundo, Estacion Zer. In 2009 he was part of the “JAZZ ENVOYS”, a program sponsored by the Embassy of the United States, Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Jazz Masters in Ecuador, where drummers were, he was added as drummer to form the quartet that would be responsible for providing jazz concerts and seminars throughout the country and the United States. He is currently drum teacher in contemporary music career at the Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil and the music production and sound career at Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo.
