Anton Kotikov was born in 1985. He is the Associate Professor of the College of the Russian State University A.N. Kosygin "State Classical Academy named after Maimonides" at the Faculty of World Musical Culture in saxophone and ensemble class. Anton Kotikov is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. He performs on saxophone, flute, duduk, clarinet, harmonica, Whistle Irish flute, Australian Didgeridoo. He is the Head of the author's project "Harp and Jazz" (Harp & Jazz). Anton Kotikov is the laureate and winner of the International and All-Russian competitions. He is also the winner of the first prize at the international competition held as part of the "Marettimo Jazz Festival" (Italy) 2015. In 2009 he graduated from the “SCA named after Maimonides” in saxophone class with the professor Dmitry Bril. In 2012 Anton Kotikov completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Theory and History of Performing Arts at the “SCA named after Maimonides”. He is a participant of International scientific conferences on musicology. He has published articles in scientific journals. In 2014 he was an assistant trainee with professor Alexei S. Kozlov at lectures on the History of Jazz at the “SCA named after Maimonides”. He was a Prize winner of the All-Russian festival of flutists "My Flute 2009" as well as a Finalist of the competition "Young talents of Moscow in the nomination Culture and art 2012" and a Laureate and diploma winner of the Moscow International competition of musicians-improvisers 2012. He took part in the international conference "ISIM" on collective improvisation, held in New York (USA) in 2013. He completed an internship in Washington DC at the Jazz Department of the Library of Congress in 2013. Anton Kotikov is a Diploma-recipient of all-Russian and International competitions and jazz festivals. He has taken part in concerts by Alexey Kozlov, Anatoly Gerasimov, Sergey Manukyan, Arkady Shilkoper, Mark Pekarsky, Jaak Sooaar (Estonia), Jerry Bergonzi (USA), Orchestras of Yuri Chugunov and "RamCorps" (USA). In 2011 Anton Kotikov's debut album “Journey to the City of Oryol”, was released on the ‘Jazz Art Service’ label, recorded from several concerts at the Oryol State Philharmonic. One part of the material is taken from the program dedicated to the work of George Gershwin, another one is the author's works. In 2013 the premiere of the performance-improvisation "The Alchemist's Journey" took place on the stage of the Moscow Jazz club of Alexey Kozlov. The composer and author of the idea is Anton Kotikov. In 2013 he made his debut as the author of the idea and the composer-performer with the actor and director Yevgeny Tkachuk in a joint production of the improvisation play "The Alchemist's Journey". Anton Kotikov took part in a concert and a master class by the American jazz flutist - beatboxer Greg Pattillo. In the same year he played a concert with pianist Roman Stolyar and took part in the International Conference of Music and Improvisers (ISIM) in New York (USA). He also took part in a master class with saxophonist Jane Ira Blum and pianist Matthew Shipp. He was awarded the Moscow Government Prize for employees of State Cultural Institutions of the city of Moscow as part of the Year of Culture in the Russian Federation in the category "Best young specialist in the field of culture" in 2014. A new album "Morning of the Autumn" with the project "Harp&Jazz" was released on the "ArtBeat" label in 2015. A disc with the Moscow Composers Orchestra and the Round Band Orchestra conducted by Alexey Kruglov with music by Vladimir Miller (England) was released in 2015. He completed the advanced training courses in jazz performance in New Orleans (USA) in 2016. Anton Kotikov performs with concerts in Russia, Italy, Spain and USA.
