New York-based / Russian born, critically acclaimed chart-topping vocalist Svetlana is conquering the world with a sound that blends swing, straight-ahead jazz, original songs, strong vocal delivery, charismatic performance style, and exciting unpredictable improvisational aspects. Svetlana's latest record, Night at the Movies, debuted #1 on US Billboard Traditional Jazz Album Charts / #2 Jazz Album Charts. Svetlana is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music (Masters of Jazz Performance) - she has studied with JD Walter, Theo Bleckmen, Gretchen Parlato, Kate McGarry, and more - she is a Finalist of the Paul Carr's 2019 Discovery Act Competition, finalist of the American Music Abroad (AMA), and an alternate of the 2019 & 2020 American traditions vocal competition. Svetlana and her bands (from small combos to a full size big band) have headlined sold out shows in the premier jazz clubs, festivals, and theaters across the US and internationally (Blue Note in NYC, Regattabar in Boston, Yoshi's and Blue Note Napa in CA, Blues Alley, and DC Jazz Festival in Washington, Italian Villas & Jazz Festival, Tel Aviv Blues Festival, India's Total Environment Foundation club, and dozens of theaters around the US) gaining critical acclaim from audiences and press alike by presenting exhilarating shows that take the audience on a carnival of sounds, seamlessly moving from sophisticated, sultry retrospection to a rowdy, joyous party.
